Oxecure Acne Clear Potion Review

 

 

 

Oxecure is a brand that was introduced this year 2020 in the Philippines. This brand specializes to control acne and to help treat and prevent breakout. Oxecure has a variety of products that you can choose depending on your preference. They have acne soaps, acne starting kit, body acne spray, facial liquid cleanser, acne powder mud and the acne clear potion.

The Oxecure acne clear potion is one of the best selling products. This a spot treatment that fights acne and post acne scars.

Packaging

Admit it or not, the Oxecure Acne Clear Potion looks like the Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion which is their award winning product. This skincare product is in a small bottled container that contains 15 ml of product and would last for 12 months. The product is formulated in Japan and manufactured by Dream Dermatology Co. Ltd. I am not sure yet if this product is from Thailand as I can see a lot of Thailand language on the packaging.

Price

Compared to Mario Badescu Drying Lotion which can cost you a thousand in peso, this might be a cheaper version of it for only Php 349.

Availability

One thing that I like about this brand is that, you can find it at any stores, drug stores like Mercury Drug and Watsons and online stores such as Lazada and Shopee.

Formula & Ingredients

The product has 2% of salicylic acid and niacinamide that helps to fight acne. Aloe Vera extract, chamomile and Shea butter for nourishing the skin. This product is also paraben free, fragrance free, cruelty free, hypoallergenic and silicone free. The potion has a pink powder with a muddy consistency and a liquid. Please, be very careful on the potion, the pink powder and the liquid should not be mixed. If that happens leave for about 30 mins for the liquid and pink powder to get separated. This acne clear potion has a medicinal scent to it.

Application & Finish

To be able to get the pink powder, you have to use a cotton buds and apply it on the affected area. Another reminder, please use a clean cotton bud whenever you are going to dip it on the potion. When the acne potion is applied on the skin, it has cooling effect with a medicinal scent to it. Also apply the potion as fast as you can on the affected area as this product is fast drying.

Oxecure Acne Clear Potion 2 Weeks Test

The potion is very effective on drying small pimples for a minimum of 1 day and for the cystic acne this potion will flatten it for 1 week and more as for my experience. Also, I noticed that when the potion is applied on the unaffected area, the next morning you will see dried tiny little bumps. It seems like it prevents the new pimples from forming. The potion also controls the excessive amount of oil on the face and also minimizes the pores.

Do's and Don'ts

First, do not apply this acne potion on the wound. Second, do not let the liquid and pink powder mix together. Leave it for about 30 mins until the 2 layers get separated. Lastly, as I have mentioned earlier do not reuse the same cotton on the potion, as much as possible use a new one or the other side of the cotton buds.

Final Thoughts & Recommendation

The Oxecure Acne Clear Potion is a cheaper version of the Mario Badescu Dying lotion that effectively dries out the pimples, prevents the new pimples from forming, controls the sebum on your face with the ability to minimize the pores of your face. I highly recommend this product for its effectiveness, availability in the market and the face that it is very affordable.
