Maybelline is a drugstore brand that produces best affordable eyebrow products from the usual eyebrow pencil, eyebrow pomade, eyebrow tattoo and now an eyebrow retractable pencil. I have never been a fan of any retractable eyebrow pencil or any eyebrow pencil. Since I am a big fan eyebrow pomade because it very pigmented, long lasting and it works for me specially I have oily skin. Until I realize how handy to have an eyebrow pencil that comes with spooly. Instead of having an eyebrow product and bring eyebrow angled brush which could end up me bringing too many stuff on my makeup pouch.
Maybelline Define And Blend Brow Pencil Shades
Maybelline comes in 4 shades (natural brown, grey brown, light brown and red brown). If you have dark medium and dark hair you can choose the shade natural brown and grey brown. If you have blonde and red hair then you can definitely choose the shade light brown and red brown.
I got mine at SM Department Stores for Php 249 in the shade natural brown. The eyebrow product is available at any Maybelline Kiosk and online stores. The price is very reasonable, for me, it is very affordable for an international drugstore brand that is a retractable eyebrow pencil and comes with a spooly.
Maybelline Define And Blend Brow Pencil Packaging
The eyebrow pencil comes with a spooly and it is a retractable type of eyebrow pencil. It is more handy and convenient to bring, because you do not need a sharpener to sharpen the eyebrow pencil and bring extra brush to blend it. Both ends have lids so it is very hygienic, the spooly has an acrylic type of lip and the other end is a plain black lid. You can identify the shade of the eyebrow pencil at the end the black lid. I also like when you twist the eyebrow pencil, it feels so sturdy. The whole packaging doesn't look cheap at all.
Formula and Finish
The eyebrow pencil is not waxy, very pigmented and very buildable. It has a slim angled tip in which you can mimic and define eyebrow hairs if you want to. The slim angled tip of the eyebrow product is the slimmest tip compare to other eyebrow product. The eyebrow pencil gives me a natural looking eyebrow easily.
Wear Test
After wearing the eyebrow pencil for few hours I have noticed a slight transfer on the blotting paper. This is problem for me since I have oily skin but by using this eyebrow pencil and even after blotting and having a slight transfer my eyebrow still looks full. With a slight smudge it doesn't totally smudge but if you smudge it with so much pressure then it will definitely transfer and come off.
